The goals and objectives of JAMIA IMAM BAQIR
The land of India has been home to followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) since ancient times. As of 2020, the estimated Shia population in India ranges between 50 to 60 million, spread across different regions, with major centers in Lucknow and Hyderabad. Lucknow, in particular, has long been recognized as the center of Shi’ism and Islamic studies in India. Historically, it has produced great scholars and Mujtahids, and even today, it remains a significant hub of religious learning. However, over the past half-century, this once-thriving intellectual and religious center, which was once compared to Najaf, has witnessed a decline. Whatever the reasons may be, this deterioration poses a significant loss to Shi’ism, both religiously and academically. Recognizing this challenge, and after 20 years of efforts in the Hawza Ilmiyya of Mashhad and Qom, a group of dedicated scholars and visionaries decided to revive this center through all possible means. As a result, this institution was founded in August 2019, with the mission of restoring Lucknow’s legacy as a center of Islamic knowledge and practice.

The education system of the district should be divided as follows:
Initial Levels:
In which Arabic and Persian literature should be taught to the students on a high level up to the end of the term. After that education, the student limit At least they can serve among the believers as a preacher, which will require about 7 years of time approximately.
Higher Levels:
1: In which the student will get familiar with the method of deriving rulings by participating in 5 years of teaching, which will lead them to Ijtihad. It will help to grow.
2: Along with the religious education of students, modern education will also be emphasized and full support will be given to complete their graduation.
3: Special emphasis will be placed on higher education as well as moral training in the field so that academic endeavours can be pursued properly so that their educations cannot be wasted educated person (without practical knowledge I s as the tree without fruits).
4: To make the nation a virtuous and practical scholar so that they can make their society a God-favoured society through correct Islamic teachings. Because only a practical scholar can properly promote Islam with the title of being the heir of the children. We pray to Almighty God to help all the members in this noble cause.

He is a leading Indian Twelver Shia scholar, philosopher, thinker, educationist, community activist, orator, and critic. Presently, Maulana Payam Haider is recognized as one of the most prominent senior Shia scholars from the Indian subcontinent.
